Buckle Barn - Upper Slaughter

 Things to do ..........

The Cotswolds are considered by many to be amongst the most beautiful areas of England. The special warm richness of the soft natural limestone buildings and the wealth of the wool trade has left a heritage of superb buildings. The area is now an attraction for anyone who loves peace and tranquillity…no matter what the season.

WALKING - One of the best ways to enjoy the distinctive character of the Cotswolds is by foot.  The Slaughers are in a designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and offers some of the most beautiful walks in the country.  Staying at Buckle Barn you're in a prime location to take advantage of all the walking routes the area has to offer. The Escape to the Cotswolds website has a comprehensive list of walks to enjoy.

CYCLING - Cycling is a great way to see the wonderful scenery and distinctive character of the Cotswolds. The routes range from the gentler slopes of the South Cotswolds to the sharper escarpments of the North. Recommended cycle routes can be seen here.

There are many places worth exploring, here are some of our favourites.......
