               The Forresters Hotel & Restaurant ...

 located in the centre of the attractive little  town of  Middleton in Teesdale.

We are a child and dog friendly hotel with a fully licensed restaurant serving all types of food from 12 noon until 10pm every day. We have outside seating areas to the front and the rear (with lift access to the rear terrace)

The town is on the Durham side of the river at the point where the Tees is joined by the Hudeshope Beck which runs along the back of the hotel.

Middleton is known to have existed in the days of the Vikings when it was owned by King Canute, but did not grow significantly until the 1880 when it became an important lead mining centre.

Middleton and Upper Teesdale are an ideal location for both short breaks and longer holidays with a wealth of activities available.
